Beginning November 25, renowned chef and television personality Tiffani Faison (pictured) expands her Fenway restaurant footprint once again with the debut of her retro Italian-American restaurant, Tenderoni’s. To those that follow the local scene, this homage to the old-school pie joints of the 1970s and ’80s might seem a bit familiar, as a smaller location opened earlier this year at the High Street Place food hall in Downtown Boston. This newer venture, however, offers an expanded version of the initial location’s pizza-centric menu, combining delicious, 2.5-foot-long cheesy, crusty creations with such re-invented fare as North End mayo shrimp (shrimp with chili mayo, grilled lemon, fennel and parsley) and swordfish cacciatore. Extra-hungry patrons can also indulge in original soft-serve ice cream desserts, while thirsty adults can imbibe creative cocktails from the two bars located within Tenderoni’s roller disco-inspired walls. While sit-down service is for dinner only, there are plans to offer to-go lunches via the street-side takeout window, with drag brunches coming in the new year, giving Faison’s fans even more to look forward to in 2023.
