Abe & Louie’s: Beef lovers can celebrate the season at one of the Back Bay’s best steakhouses, which adds two specials—steak tartare and slow-roasted prime rib with twice-baked potato—to its menu.

Atlantic Fish Co.: The Back Bay seafood stalwart is open both December 24 & 25, and offers special holiday dishes like squid ink fregola with poached rock lobster, Atlantic swordfish belly bacon and grilled steelhead trout. For the carnivores, there’s also roasted porchetta and peppercorn-crusted ribeye.

Boston Harbor Hotel (pictured): This elegant edifice perched on Rowes Wharf serves a grand Christmas brunch in its Atlantic Room overlooking picturesque Boston Harbor that has a menu highlighted by a raw bar, roasted turkey, slow-roasted Wagyu prime rib, lobster mac and cheese, and Peking-style Long Island duck. Breakfast options abound as well, from Captain Crunch French toast to maple-smoked bacon, as well as more than a dozen delectable desserts.

Nubar: Open both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, this welcoming Cambridge eatery at the Sheraton Commander boasts a December 25 buffet from 11:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. that has a glazed ham and New York sirloin carving station as well as such entrees, side dishes and desserts as roasted salmon, sage-roasted potatoes, candied butternut squash and pecan pie.

Ramsay’s Kitchen: Ensconced at the Mandarin Oriental in the Back Bay, this restaurant helmed by television personality Gordon Ramsay boasts a three-course dinner that is available both December 24 & 25. Choose from shrimp cocktail or mushroom soup, followed by prime rib roast and apple crumble cheesecake.
