High 5: Thanksgiving Take-Out

Be grateful this Turkey Day for these helpful establishments who offer take-home feasts for November 23

Boston Public Market: The year-round, indoor farmers market above the MBTA’s Haymarket stop is one of 40 pickup locations for the annual Pie in the Sky benefit from hunger-fighting charity Community Servings. Give back this holiday season by going online and opting for an apple, pecan or pumpkin pie (or all three!) and swinging by on November 21 to grab and go. You can even select a package that includes one of two fabulous cookbooks, a pie for a Community Servings client, an apple pie in a reusable tote and a coupon code for a free car wash.

Jasper White’s Summer Shack (pictured): Add a coastal vibe to Thanksgiving by arranging for a take-home meal from either the Back Bay or Cambridge outpost. All the traditional fixtures are part of the deal, including corn bread stuffing and butternut squash, yet don’t sleep on the lobster pot pie.

Lucie Dine + Drink: The Back Bay’s Colonnade Hotel is home to this internationally influenced kitchen, which, in addition to hosting hungry diners in-person on November 23, also boasts a take-away option that can be picked up curbside on November 22, or hot-and-ready on Turkey Day morning. Fun twists on tried-and-true holiday faves include wild mushroom brioche stuffing and cranberry chutney.

The Smoke ShopOrder before November 16 at 6 p.m. to get a boxed turkey dinner for two that includes pork loin ham, gravy, Texas toast stuffing and more, or opt for à la carte, featuring all the aforementioned as well as whole smoked brisket and other seasonal delicacies, through November 18 for pickup at any location of the local barbecue specialist. Those who spend more than $75 even get a $10 gift card for future use.

State Street Provisions: Billed as “family-style takeout,” the offerings at this Downtown waterfront favorite include a dinner package with enough turkey, salad, pumpkin pie and sides like apple rosemary stuffing and roasted heirloom carrots to feed a small army. Order on the eatery’s site by November 16 for pickup Thanksgiving morning from 10 a.m.–noon, or stroll on in with the family for a sit-down meal from noon–10 p.m.
