High 5: Valentine’s Day Dining

Indulge in one of these special holiday meals with your significant other

Abe & Louie’s: Celebrate from February 9–14 with a date night at this Back Bay steak emporium, which offers such tempting dishes as roasted oysters, poached Maine lobster with gnocchi, a 16-ounce dry-aged New York strip and desserts like the wild strawberry tart. Pair any of these with the original cocktail creations like the Forbidden Fruit (a gin-based elixir with cranberry juice and prosecco) and the Devilish Margarita, which mixes Patron tequila and Cointreau with spicy yuzu puree, crème de cassis and fresh citrus.

Artisan Bistro: The eatery at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton, Boston highlights a prix fixe V-Day menu on three separate days—February 9, 10 & 14 from 4–10 p.m.—that boasts a starter of watercess, frisee and blood orange salad followed by either squid ink lobster tortellini or filet mignon as the main offering.

Atlantic Fish Co.: From February 9–14, select from the Back Bay seafood specialist’s regular menu as well as an exclusive list of fresh delicacies that include oysters Rockefeller, New England scrod and lobster carbonara. Cocktails with such cheeky names as the spicy, margarita-inspired “Who’s the Best Catch?” and the orange vodka, pomegranate juice and clementine-flavored “How About a Squeeze?” also liven up the proceedings.

Lulu Green: This vegan destination in South Boston presents a four-course extravaganza with optional wine pairings on the evenings of February 10 & 14. Plates progress from smoked carrot tartare and broccoli ménage a trois to the main dish of braised mushroom short ribs before ending on a sweet note with dark chocolate mousse.

Rosebud Bar & Kitchen (pictured): The recently resurrected landmark diner in Somerville’s Davis Square ups the ante on February 14—and fully explores the culinary map—with a five-course prix fixe dinner that includes deviled eggs, roasted root vegetable salad, wings jazzed up with Korea’s popular and spicy Gochujang chili paste, and fried chicken and waffles crafted with a zesty Indian twist.
