The latest addition to the always-hot Back Bay dining scene made its debut May 15 with the opening of La Padrona at the luxurious new Raffles Boston hotel. Helmed by famed chef/restaurateur Jody Adams and her team at A Street Hospitality, the operators of such acclaimed eateries as Porto and Trade, La Padrona offers a high-end version of genuine Italian cuisine in a glamorous, bi-level space. The bright and airy ground-floor lounge space gives way to the more intimate atmosphere of the second-floor dining room, highlighted by a 360-degree bar adorned with custom textile art. The menu features a mix of traditional classics from regions throughout Italy, all boasting ingredients both locally sourced and imported from Italy. From house-made pasta and Tuscan flatbreads to the freshest seafood dishes like lobster & uni risotto and grilled swordfish, the kitchen at La Padrona certainly looks poised to live up to its sumptuous and sophisticated setting.
