Weekender: Sayonara February

February, your days are numbered. To celebrate, we’re getting out of the house—and ignoring the sub-zero temperatures.

On Friday, Kings of Leon (pictured) rocks TD Garden starting at 8 p.m. Then on Saturday, things get sporty when the Bruins take on the Capitals at 1 p.m. and the Celtics play the Pacers at 8 p.m.

Kate Weare Company is at the ICA on Friday. The contemporary dancers have been described as ingenious, imaginative, and sensuous. It’s also your last chance to see the Christina Ramberg and Latoya Ruby Frazier exhibits.

The Wilbur has a whole lot of funny going on this weekend. On Friday, The League star Steve Rannazzisi (Kevin) is making an appearance, then on Saturday, find out how much Tracy Morgan is not like his 30 Rock character Tracy Jordan at two back-to-back stand-up shows. The easily offended may want to skip this one. (By the way, read our interview with Tracy here.)

Two weeks ago, it was people running around in their underwear. This weekend, it’s costumed people with shopping carts racing around Fenway. Saturday’s Boston Urban Idiotorama is part costume party, part bar crawl, and part food drive. If you didn’t register in time, at least go and cheer on the participants.

The city has seen a slew of new restaurant openings in the last few weeks or so including M.C. Spiedo in Fort Point, Tenoch Mexican in the North End, Alden & Harlow in Cambridge, and Cocobeet on City Hall Plaza. Plus, Clio’s bar is serving highlights from Toro NYC’s menu and Top Chef’s Stephanie Cmar is hosting a pop-up donut shop at The Butcher Shop on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. Why would you eat at home with all of that going on?
