Boston's Halloween 2013 party guide

Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bar
Some of Boston's biggest Halloween parties were last weekend, but don't put away your costume just yet. The big day is Thursday, and there are plenty of places where you can go to dress up and get down.

Come as Your Favorite Cocktail at The Hawthorne: Instead of trying to decide whether you should be an angel or a demon this year, dress up as your favorite cocktail and stop by The Hawthorne in Kenmore Square. A prize will be given for best costume and other festivities will continue throughout the night including punch and snacks, bobbing for apples, craft cocktails at the bar, and screenings of black-and-white horror films in the Stone Room. This bash will last from 9 p.m.– 2 a.m. Tickets.

Boo-tiful Bash at Guilt: Show off your costume and your best moves on the dance floor at Guilt Nightclub. This party, presented by joonbug.com, features three different DJs for a variety of music and lasts from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m. on Halloween night.

Howl-O-Ween at Howl at the Moon: Visit Boston’s dueling piano bar and enjoy Angry Orchard Hard Cider, Jager shots, 86-ounce buckets of “ooze,” Apple Pie Bombs, and a costume contest at 11 p.m. with prizes and cash giveaways. The festivities kick off at 4 p.m.

Bond’s Halloween Masquerade at the Langham Hotel: Dress up in your best mask for a chance to win cash or hotel giveaways at this classy event at Bond. Dance under the chandeliers to DJ Obie’s beats starting at 10 p.m. Tickets.

Dance with the Dead at Lolita
: Celebrate at a Day of the Day-themed party at Lolita Cocina and Tequila Bar. Enjoy specialty cocktails, take pictures in the photo booth, and dress your best for a chance to win $500. The fun starts at 8 p.m. and lasts until close.

Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun at Underbar: If you’re looking to dance the night away, stop by Underbar, one of Boston’s hottest clubs. From 8 p.m.–2 a.m., DJs will be blasting music for all the ghosts, princesses, and devils out there.

GRID: A Futuristic Halloween Party at The Emerald Lounge: If you’re a fan of the 1982 cult class Tron and you’d rather wear neon instead of a traditional Halloween costume, this Emerald Lounge party is for you. For no cover charge, you can dance to techno music, crack open some glow sticks, and try to win the prize for Best Costume.
