Forget the groundhog. Around these parts, the real harbinger of spring is the annual Boston Flower & Garden Show, a showcase for the latest gardening trends, equipment and advice that takes place at the Seaport World Trade Center March 11–15. Boasting the theme Garden Party: Celebrating Friends & Family, this year’s event promotes connecting with loved ones both indoors and out, while also offering its usual stunning garden displays and flower arrangements. A preview party benefitting The Genesis Foundation for Children, a local organization dedicated to helping young ones born with disabilities, takes place March 10 from 6–9 p.m., offering food, cocktails, raffles and live music.
