It’s never too early to get into the holiday spirit—or to get a jump on your holiday shopping. To help in both areas, the fourth annual Snowport extravaganza descends on Boston’s Seaport beginning November 11, featuring all kinds of seasonal fun, as well as the open-air Holiday Market, a mega-sized showcase with more than 120 small businesses and 19 food and beverage purveyors to warm up visitors with jerk chicken, hearty bisques, sweet and savory crepes, wood-fired Neapolitan pizza, mulled wine, craft cocktails and more. Expect lots of dazzling, twinkling decorations such as the stunning, 10-foot-tall Mistletoe Archway; the Winter Wish Wall, a 25-foot chalkboard where visitors can leave their holiday wishes; the Boston Children’s Museum’s pop-up display Dinos in Space; giant versions of classic games like Jenga and Battleship; and ice-less curling. There’s even a Christmas tree market beginning November 18, as well as a tree lighting ceremony and holiday stroll on December 2 from 5–9 p.m.—not to mention a menorah lighting December 22 at 6 p.m.—sure to kick-start any Grinch’s festive, yuletide mood. The magic lasts until New Year’s Eve, when an all-day ice sculpture display acts as a grand finale for another season of charity and cheer.
