Nathaniel Lewis, Automatic Fun, 2018

Alternating between the whimsical and the serious, Child’s Play, a new exhibit beginning November 21 at the Society of Arts + Crafts in the Seaport, takes inspiration from childhood games and toys, presenting masterfully constructed objects that project a sense of fun while also dealing with a host of underlying issues that belie surface appearances. Featuring works in a variety of mediums, the show offers a delightful look at the dichotomy between adulthood and youth.
